From Disruptive Products to Adaptive Firearms Institute
For over 20 years, Disruptive Products served the Tucson community through our retail stores, offering firearms, airsoft, paintball, and tactical gear. In 2024, we officially transitioned operations under Adaptive Firearms Institute — our training and manufacturing division — to focus on mission-driven products and performance-based education.
While our physical storefronts have closed, the legacy continues online. We’re proud to still serve our customers with the same core values: honesty, precision, and real-world performance. And yes — we’re clearing out our remaining paintball and airsoft inventory here on the site while we transition fully to firearms, suppressors, and hard-use gear.
Adaptive Firearms Institute
Adaptive Firearms Institute is a veteran-owned and operated business based in Tucson, Arizona. The Lovato family brings over 40 years of combined military service — with every member having served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
We are more than just a training company — we apply science to how the human body moves and reacts under stress. We constantly review and refine techniques using principles from kinesiology, biomechanics, and neuroscience to help our students perform when it matters most.
Disruptive Tactical — Our Manufacturing Division
Disruptive Tactical is the manufacturing arm of Adaptive Firearms Institute. We build purpose-tuned rifles designed to meet the needs of professional soldiers, law enforcement, and responsible citizens in high-threat environments.
Our flagship rifle, the DT15, is built with:

Our 1-day, high-round-count courses are built to deliver maximum impact in a minimal amount of time — because we know training has to fit into busy lives.

Our 8-acre training complex includes:
- Three dedicated shooting ranges
- A defensive driving course
- The “Playground” — a scenario-based range with vehicles and buildings for dynamic training
